Hard to argue over who got the baby

Someone dropped off these individually wrapped king cake slices. 



I wonder if this, in some small way, doesn't violate the "participatory ideal" of the communal experience of Carnival.  King cakes are meant to be the centerpiece of a party, after all.  But here we have one lonely slice encased in cellophane, intended to be eaten by a lonely person huddled in a corner somewhere.. or perhaps in a car.
