For the second year in a row, the Krewe of Atlas has fallen off the Metairie Mardi Gras season parade schedule. Initially planned to roll on the final day of the Family Gras festival, the krewe backed out in 2014, citing a lack of revenue. This year, the krewe is not able to assemble a top-notch parade, Atlas President Daniel Murray said in a letter released Thursday by the Jefferson Parish government administration. It was not too very long ago when we used to worry about all the Orleans Parish parades folding up shop while all the action moved out to the 'burbs. That isn't happening anymore.
