- All of these relatively new French Quarter outdoor festivals are starting to feel like the same event over and over again. Not complaining.. it's a near-perfect form. This weekend at the Mint and in Dutch Alley we find the Satchmo Summerfest. Music.. food.. you know the drill.
- In the Warehouse District tonight it's yet another White Linen Night... oh sorry.. make the Whitney White Linen Night (gag!) Honestly, this can be a hit-or-miss event depending on who you talk to. It can be a difficult crowd to mix. Some of the actual art enthusiasts don't get along so well with the society people.. who are less than tolerant of the kids who are just there for the party. But mostly all goes well if you have the right attitude.
- Can you believe I still haven't seen the Simpsons Movie? What the hell is wrong with me?
- And finally.. Fake Football (game one of five) Grit your teeth and hope nobody gets hurt.
It's August! Only four months left in Hurricane Season! Have a safe weekend.
