St. Joseph's
Wild Magnolias Second Street St. Joseph's Night 2011
Some years I make it out to see the Indians on St. Joseph's Night. Some years I don't. This turns out to be one of the years I don't.
The good news, though, is Menckles made a terrific paneer saag tonight complete with homemade cheese. We put it over some of the Blanca Isabel purple rice that Rouses has been pushing lately. The dish on the plate is purple and green and gold.
And this is how we at least were able to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph with Mardi Gras Indian food if not with actual Mardi Gras Indians.
