- This fascinating outdoor production of Waiting for Godot begins its run tonight and tomorrow night at the corner of Forstall and N Roman Streets around 7 PM. On Nov 9 and 10 the production "gathering point" moves to the corner of Pratt and Robert E Lee.
- The 22nd annual Louisiana Swamp Festival will take place at the Audubon Zoo this Saturday Nov 4 and Sunday Nov 5. See schedule here.
- The folks who bring you Bayou Boogaloo are holding their Day of the Dead fundraiser tonight at Studio 3 (3610 Toulouse St) from 7 to 11PM. Details Here
- The Mirliton Festival at Markey Park in the Bywater begins Saturday at noon. Entrance is $5.00.
- And then there's the football. First, Saturday afternoon, the LSU Tigers travel to Tuscaloosa to play "F$%#'in Alabama" in Saban Bowl I. But LSU has an idiot for a coach so this one could be something of a disappointment. Sunday, Sammy Knight (yes, I will be wearing the jersey) and the Jacksonville Jaguars are in town as the Saints try to make it to .500 for the first time this season. The physical Jaguars are probably a bit too much for the cutesy Saints... but that's why they make the bloody marys.
