I, for one, look forward to Tavon Rooks's Hall Of Fame Induction

As the most obscure player the Saints drafted this weekend, Rooks is the most surefire guaranteed success. That's how this works, right?  It had better be, anyway, since the Colts selected a man named Andrew Jackson with the very next pick.  When Andrew Jackson is on the board and New Orleans passes on him to take you, it had better be worth it.

As for the rest of it, who the heck knows?  NFL draft choices are absurd risks. Frankly, I don't know why teams even bother making any.  Did anyone make the joke about the team going to Vegas to shoot craps before the draft even started?  Okay well consider that done now if it hadn't been.

As far as I can tell from watching this weekend, the Saints decided they needed a tiny receiver in order to better match up with the HUGE secondaries teams like the Seahawks have been using to corral the big receivers (Graham, Colston) their offense relies on. Apparently the key is going against the grain.. or something.

But then in the second round they decided they needed a HUGE defensive back in order to keep up with the Joneses defensively.  So, again, fuckall if I know what's going on.

Also they drafted a guy named Vinnie and some linebackers with like 50 knee surgeries between them.  Future stars all, no doubt.

Anyway,  now begins the really shitty part of the year.   The street flooding and termite swarms ushered that in quite nicely.  It's only like a ka-billion more days left until actual football season.  The best advice is try to find a safe place to hide until then.
