Fuck it

At this point, why not just vote no? Given the way this thing looks, it seems to me the best thing a "progressive" legislator could do would be to force a scenario where either the President has to invoke the 14th or everyone has to scramble one more time. Either of those ends might be preferable to this now.

Luckily for Obama, the Republicans managed to put together a sufficiently awful deal for him to accept. Oh well.
