Run for your lives

The Louisiana Legislature goes into session today.

Bobby Jindal will open the session by addressing the legislature.  The Lens has set up a live-blog of the speech if you're interested. If you are interested, though, you're already one step ahead of the Governor who is headed back out on the pre-campaign trail after he's done in Baton Rouge today.

Here's the agenda.   As usual, anything that has any reasonable shot at passing looks pretty terrible with the possible exception of the marijuana bills. Oh and this looks like it might be a decent trade-off.
The use of handheld cellphones while driving could become a crime, although an expired inspection sticker could no longer be a stoppable offense.
Hard to think of a bigger joke of a scam than the brake tag racket... besides Ron Forman's salary, I guess.

Anyway, it's difficult to decide which might be the worst act the legislature will undertake this year.  Lamar has a good candidate here, though.
