An 1800s Tremé mansion that made headlines when it went up in flames in a four-alarm fire last year is now for sale, and this baby isn't cheap. A tipster passed along the listing (a for sale by owner Craigslist ad, by the way) and wrote "Notorious slumlord Joan Brooks, owner of the Empress Hotel and Queen of New Orleans Blight has listed one of her tenements for sale at an ASTRONOMICAL price!" The ask? $1.3-freaking-million.I'm sure it will go to a local buyer interested in offering affordable rentals.....
