The Landrieu spot twice plays a clip of the Louisianan saying of Obamacare, “If I had to vote for the bill again, I would vote for it tomorrow.”Remember, Mary is already supporting a bill that would basically undermine Obamacare. But they're still going to hate her anyway. Not sure what her play is here.

Given how much political flak Obama is taking over people losing their existing health insurance, I'd say Landrieu is trying to salvage Obamacare and keep the promises made. Creating a viable risk pool is already a dubious proposition at this point, and given enough time everyone will eventually have to enter the marketplace anyway. Standing firm while people lose their insurance is not a good strategy for the Administration politically.
