Double dip

CNN: Rescue efforts under way after oil rig explosion in Gulf One injured. None dead. None missing. So that's good. According to WWL, CNN says this is "not an active well". I don't know what that means. I hope it means we don't have a new gusher on our hands. But there's certainly some disconnect between the terms "not active" and "exploding".

Update: More good news
Vermillion 380 is a fixed, manned production platform. It's not a well being drilled for oil, like BP's Macondo well and it's not a floating rig like the Deepwater Horizon.
Doesn't seem like the sort of thing that will blow a shit-ton of oil into the Gulf. But that also doesn't mean it can't be messy. It's just not a repeat of the last 4 months.

Upperdate: Like I said. Doesn't mean it can't be messy. Oil sheen seen near burning platform -Coast Guard
