• T-P's Katy Reckdahl updates us on the ongoing attempts by NOPD to stamp out New Orleans's Second Line clubs' right to frees speech and assembly.
  NOPD is charging arbitrarily disparate and astoundingly high parade fees to clubs in an apparent attempt to discourage them from marching. Read the entire article for details of the not-so-subtle harassment of parade participants on the part of officers and also for further evidence that Arthur Hardy is a douchebag.



• Allstate continues to weasel this way and that in order to wriggle free of the "risky" Gulf Coast market.



• Dambala has a post up in which he postulates that escalating Entergy rates pose the greatest threat to recovery.. particularly as the Summer approaches.
