The state board in charge of such things
has denied Tiger Swan, the para-military security firm hired to spy on NODAPL protesters, a permit to operate in Louisiana. This sounds like good news but nobody should expect this means they or some similar outfit won't be here. Governor Edwards
recently signed Louisiana onto an agreement that might actually circumvent the permitting process under certain circumstances. Also the Governor
received $5,000 in contributions from Energy Transfer Partners during the last election.
