Caterpillar season

Buckmoth Caterpillar up close

Do not fear the coming of caterpillar season
BATON ROUGE, La. - The stinging caterpillars that will become buck moths are beginning to reappear in south Louisiana and will be active through May.

LSU AgCenter forestry entomologist Tim Schowalter said the caterpillars are found in oak forests throughout the southeastern U.S. as far west as Texas.
Soon enough we will be straight on into termite season and you will feel like this never happened.

FYI, the other two seasons are cockroach and then mosquito.. although there is significant overlap of both of those with the entire calendar.
