Whitewashed

New Orleans does a poor enough job of maintaining its many significant sites in the history of the civil rights movement.   For instance,  it took us all the way to 2009 to give Homer Plessy a freaking plaque. But that's only the most egregious example. There are others.  Such as this one which we are allowing to be demolished.
