Dynasty interrupted

Vance McAllister will not stand for reelection.  So far neither the NOLA.com nor the Advocate treatment of this event has employed the phrase, "ducked out." I have to say I'm a little disappointed.

While getting caught on video kissing his aide didn’t help, Congressman Vance McAllister’s decision Monday to not seek re-election may have had something to do with money as well.

All in, McAllister, through a personal loan, and his campaign, through various debts and obligations, could be on the hook for as much as $1.1 million, although the number could be somewhat lower.

Being a Congressperson is expensive.. even for a wealthy dude like McAllister.  Maybe that's the real story here.
