New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer underwent a sports hernia procedure to repair his injured groin, interim coach Joe Vitt said after Thursday's practice. Greer sustained the groin injury on Tuesday and Greer hasn't been on the practice field to even watch practice the last two days.Greer is a veteran guy who, according to Vitt, is known for his quick groin so this should work out okay.
Vitt said Greer should be able to work out on the field starting the week of the Texans preseason game, which would be the Saints' fourth preseason game.
But Vitt also added, "(Greer) will definitely be ready for the regular season. Some guys are quicker than others."
