Noble Energy

Because.. because they just had to go with something called that. How could they not, really?

Noble Energy also makes no mention of BP in its press release from yesterday. In announcing a major discovery in Mississippi Canyon Block 519, back in 2009, Noble spelled out the various ownership stakes, including BP's -- the largest single slice, with a 46.5 percent stake alongside Noble Energy's 23.25 percent share.

I know we keep reading that BP is "leaving" the Gulf Coast soon. But they only mean that in a certain sense, obviously.

Meanwhile, we're at least hoping they hang around long enough to pay us back for this.
Gov. Bobby Jindal today announced that the state will spend $12 million to restore wetlands and rebuild oyster beds that have been damaged as a result of the BP oil spill and will bill the company for repayment. Jindal said the step was needed because BP has not responded to the state's request for money to pay to put out oyster spat in beds where oysters were killed after the state opened freshwater diversions to block oil from moving into wetlands. The states request for BP to rebuild wetlands oiled during the uncontrolled release of crude from the Macondo well has also gone unanswered.
Seems like a "noble" enough of an idea. Or at least the beginning of one. Anyway, it looks like we'll know where to find BP if we're still looking for them later on.
