After lunch, the president arrived at Samuel J. Green Charter School in Uptown, a block away from a group of fewer than 100 protesters waiving anti-Bush signs. At the school, he visited a fifth-grade math class and a third-grade science class. Bush complimented students on their "sharp-looking uniforms," navy polo shirts and trousers, and posed for pictures with students.
In both cases, the throng of reporters and photographers in the classrooms outnumbered the students.
Loki, who was among the "fewer than 100" has an account of the event here.

Finally, during the day, the President managed to get at least one new point exactly wrong.
In closing, the president likened the city's spirit to the banner season of the New Orleans Saints, which advanced to the conference championship for the first time in the team's history this past season.
"Here's a team that a lot of people didn't give much hope for when the season started," he said. "And it rose (to) become a national story. The same thing is going to happen to the city."
No, Mr. President, the City of New Orleans.. unlike the Saints.. will never cut Joe Horn.
